POLICE have charged a 53-year-old former Clifton College teacher with 36 counts of making, taking and possessing indecent images.

Jonathan Thomson-Glover, from Wadebridge in Cornwall, has been charged following a joint investigation between the Avon and Somerset and Devon and Cornwall police forces.

He has been released on bail to appear before Taunton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, July 20.

Information was initially passed to Devon and Cornwall police in summer 2014 by the National Crime Agency relating to indecent images of children downloaded from the internet.

Following further enquiries, officers investigated offences relating to the creation of indecent images committed at the college and a residential address in Wadebridge, Cornwall. None of the charges relate to contact offences.

Police have been working closely with the college and our partner agencies throughout this investigation.
