A BUILDER has diversified his Thornbury company’s services to support the elderly, disabled and those who use mobility aid.

Jason Payne, the owner of JPS Property Maintenance, is encouraging people to find out more about the services, which can hugely benefit those in need.

Mr Payne, 43, has diversified the company to provide services to the elderly, disabled and those with mobility aid.

Mr Payne, 43, said his work aims to give more people the independence that they deserve.

“Lots of people who need carers have recommended us for what we have done for them,” he said.

“We now offer more disabled access services, like handrails and bathroom refits.

“We’ve helped about 10 people over the past year in this type of area, and removed baths to install walk-in showers, which means people, who usually need carers to wash, can do so alone and remained dignified.

“Lots of people who used to struggle can now be more independent.”

Father to seven-month-old George, two-year-old Eleanor and Jessica with his wife Karen, 37, Mr Payne is also kept busy as an on-call fireman in the town.

He added: “If people give us a call, the business, which is run from home, comes to visit the home and talk through the variety of services we have on offer in Thornbury and the surrounding areas.

“It really helps people who are possibly injured or just had an operation too.

"There are lots of things to choose from and we can show samples during the visit.”
