GIRL guides from Almondsbury to Falfield flocked to Bristol for the popular ‘Shaun in the City’ challenge.

Twenty girls from the Severnvale Division hunted for 24 ‘Shaun the Sheep’ sculptures in the city centre earlier this month.

Rainbows, brownies, guides and leaders took on the challenge of finding the 70 ‘Shaun the Sheep’ sculptures which have been scattered around the city over the summer.

Event organiser Danielle McIver said: “The day was a great chance for the girls meet up with other Girlguiding members from a different section and to complete one of the challenges in the ‘Shaun in the City’ badge.

“The day was organised as part of my Queen’s Guide Award that I am currently working towards. This is the highest award that can be earned in Girlguiding.”

Girlguiding is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK, with nearly 600,000 members.

The Severnvale Division needs volunteers to give time to support their local groups.
