FIREFIGHTERS were called to a student hall in Bristol after a fire started in a microwave.
Two crews from Southmead and Temple fire stations were called to the student hall in Parrys Lane, Stoke Bishop at 6.17pm last night.
Firefighters found there had been a small fire involving the microwave which had been put out when crews arrived.
It is believed the fire started accidentally when food which had been left in the microwave burnt and caught alight.
The kitchen had been filled with smoke but there was no fire damage as a result.
