POLICE have released CCTV footage after a woman was sexually assaulted in a Bristol bar.

The assault took place in Wees Bar and Lounge in Park Street at around 12.50am on Sunday, September 13.

A YouTube video of the incident has been released in a bid to trace a man who police believe can help with their enquiries.

He is described as having a dark complexion or tanned skin, about 5ft 7ins tall, of skinny build, with short dark hair and about 30-years-old.

He was wearing a dark coloured shirt which featured a light or white circle on the back between the shoulder blades and jeans.

Investigating officer Det Con Nina Wilson said: “As part of our investigation we’ve reviewed CCTV footage and we are now releasing clips of a man we’d like to talk to.

“We feel this man may have vital information which could help us with our investigation and I’d like to appeal to anyone who thinks they may know who this man is to get in touch.

“This is obviously a very traumatic time for the victim and she was taken to The Bridge Sexual Assault Referral Centre where staff are providing her with all the necessary help and support.

“If you were in Wees Bar and Lounge between 10pm on Saturday, September, 12 and 2am on Sunday, September 13 and have any information then please call us immediately on the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101 and quote crime reference number 101239/15.”
