TODAY is expected to start cold and frosty with some potential fog patches in the east.
A dry and bright day will follow, although cloud will move in from the west through the afternoon with maximum temperatures of 9°C.
A contrasting picture tonight with some potentially heavy rain at times, moving eastward overnight.
This will clear western parts, leaving a dry, breezy, but rather cloudy end to the night here.
It will be less cold than last night with a predicted high temperature of 4°C.
