FIREFIGHTERS were called to assist an overturned lorry near Severn Beach last night after a collision.
Crews from Avonmouth and Patchway attended the scene at 11.32pm last night on the M49 junction of the M4, after a large goods vehicle had rolled onto its side.
They assisted paramedics at the scene to treat the driver’s injuries, before he was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The crews then worked alongside the Highways Agency to ensure the safety of the area and the vehicle.
