CROWDS came out in force this weekend to take a look at hundreds of vintage and steam vehicles near Wickwar.

Tortworth Vintage Rally was once again held near the village with hundreds of people taking advantage of the weekend's good weather.

Aside from the vintage and classic cars, tractors and military and commercial vehicles, attendees were also treated to a host of events and displays in the arena over the two days.

Also featured this year were a large display of Land Rovers from the Birmingham Land Rover club, a wide array of steam engines and demonstrations of horse logging and steam driven wood sawing.

Rally organiser Keith Shakespeare said: "After six years of having wind and rain, it was nice to have a weekend where people could enjoy the weather.

"Overall I think it went very well and everyone seemed to have a lot of fun.

"We are looking forward to inviting everyone back next year when we hold the event on August 12-13."
