POLICE are appealing for information from the public after intruders gained access to a construction site last night in Alveston.
The alarm was raised at the construction site of a wind farm on Old Gloucester Road near to Earthcott Green at 9.27pm after CCTV footage caught a male with a scarf covering his face on the property.
The footage also shows a hand obscure one of the lenses as the cameras were moved to point at the building.
Upon arrival, it was found that the suspects cut a lock to the site’s gate as well as several locks to farmer’s fields, which it appears was used to make their escape towards Latteridge in a vehicle.
Officers say that nothing appears to have been taken but have reminded homeowners and businesses in the area to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious by calling 101, or if an event is in progress to call 999 immediately.
