A THREE-STAR hotel in Alveston is celebrating being honoured with a special award from a popular hotel guide for the eighth year in a row.
Alveston House Hotel received the prestigious AA rosette following an unannounced annual inspection in October by the AA Hotel Guide.
The award recognises the top 10 per cent of the 4,000 hotels reviewed, being given a merit score of 84 per cent in the review – a score that the hotel said puts them “miles ahead” of any other three-star establishment in the Bristol area, with the next best scoring 80 per cent.
Julie Camm, owner and general manager of Alveston House Hotel, said: “We are genuinely delighted with the score given by the AA following their visit last week.
“The team work so hard to create a warm and inviting atmosphere so to be scored so highly for their service and hospitality is a real boost.
“To have the highest percentage rating of any three-star hotel in the area is something we are incredibly proud of.”
The AA Hotel Guide inspector said: “It was good to return to Alveston House Hotel for this routine overnight inspection which proved to be another positive visit.
“Hospitality and service combined a good mix of a relaxed and friendly welcome with helpful and efficient service experienced throughout the stay.
“Bedrooms and bathrooms are very well decorated and furnished and include very good quality beds and bedding.
“Housekeeping displayed sound attention to detail throughout all areas of the hotel.
“Both dinner and breakfast offered a very good selection of well-cooked and presented dishes and all chosen courses proved enjoyable.”
