RESIDENTS in South Gloucestershire are being given the chance to put their questions about policing to Avon and Somerset’s top cop.

Chief constable Andy Marsh will be taking part in a Facebook live video with police and crime commissioner Sue Mountstevens at 5pm on January 24, with the topic of discussion including fraud, body worn video cameras, tasers and rural crime.

On top of that, the 30-minute video will feature a selection of other questions submitted by the public.

PCC Sue Mountstevens said: “Once again we’ve had some really interesting questions submitted from residents ranging from fraud to police morale.

“I’d like to thank everyone for taking the opportunity to put their local policing questions to the Chief Constable. I want to represent your views in local policing and I can only do that if you tell me what matters most to you.

“We are still trialling this format and scheduling the live videos at difference times of the day to see what works best for local people.

“The live video is not replacing face-to-face meetings. I’m still keen to meet local people and to hold events where residents can ask questions of the police.”

The webchat will be broadcast on Facebook live on www.facebook.com/AandSPCC

Questions can be submitted by emailing pcc@avonandsomerset.pnn.police.uk, by calling 01275 816377 or through Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #PCCinconvo.
