A MAN was rescued by fire crew following a road traffic collision on the A38 in Almondsbury this morning.
The man, who is believed to be around 50 years old, was trapped inside a small van which had overturned on the central reservation of the southbound carriageway.
The man sustained a chest injury and was treated on site by ambulance crew before being transferred to Southmead hospital for further treatment.
The scene was attended by two Avon Fire and Rescue crews from Patchway and Southmead, who used equipment to cut the man from the vehicle.
The road was cleared by 9.53am.
