HELP is being offered to homeowners who need to replace their broken boilers by South Gloucestershire Council.

They are working in partnership with non-for-profit company Wessex Resolutions, who deliver fixed rate loans for home improvements on behalf of the council.

Each time a repayment is made on the loan, the money goes back into the original lending pot and made available to help more people in need.

Emma Lower, of Wessex Resolutions, said “Being able to help the local people to keep their families warm and healthy means a huge amount to us and we are so pleased that the local council can offer this money because the need is unquestionably there”.

Updating a boiler could save homeowners around £340 a year on their gas bill, according to estimates produced by the Energy Saving Trust.

Loans are fixed at representative 4.3 per cent APR.
