A SWIM school that provides classes at Tockington Manor School and Winterbourne International Academy has received an award for excellence.

Sarah Austin, who runs swimming programmes for 0-10 year olds at Puddle Ducks, was recognised for her hard work with a Franchise Award for Excellence.

Commenting on her award, which was issued at the Puddle Ducks Conference 2017, Sarah said:

“It's brilliant to be recognised by receiving this wonderful accolade.

“I would like to share this award with my team who are the most committed, passionate and hard-working women I could wish for.”

Sarah, who lives in Brislington, opened Puddle Ducks in 2008 and has since grown her company to employ 34 members of staff.

The swim school has over 1,000 customers every week and provides baby and child led swimming around South Gloucestershire, Bristol and Bath.

Polly Goodman, a member of Sarah’s team, said that Sarah won because of her warm and welcoming personality.

“Sarah creates a wonderful atmosphere for our team and she exceeds expectations for what a boss should be like.

“Because we are such a close knit team, we don’t want to let her down, so we all strive to be the best.”
