STAFF in a Thornbury opticians are celebrating being recognised as a top employer with special accreditation.
Specsavers, on St Mary’s Way, has been awarded the company’s Platinum Employer status in recognition of the directors’ dedication to their team’s wellbeing and career development.
Mark Moorton, Specsavers HR director, said: “The Platinum Employer scheme is an exciting new addition to our extensive portfolio of training and development programmes, helping our staff to benefit from the opportunity of a full-career journey from entry-level to store owner.”
In being given the accolade, the store was externally assessed against five benchmarks in different areas of the employee experience, including talent management, recruitment and induction, and performance management and reward.
