A SPECIALIST book fair was held for a twelfth year running at Easter Compton Village Hall over the weekend.
The annual South West Region Observer's Book Fair took place on Saturday, April 22 and showcased 14 specialist stall holders.
Hundreds of books were either sold or swapped by keen collectors from the local area as well as Glasgow, Sheffield, Lincolnshire and Surrey.
Displays included a rare complete set of first edition Ladybird 'Well Loved Tales' and a collection of Beatrix Potter ephemera.
Organiser Richard Edwards said: “It was a bit of a logistical nightmare fitting all fourteen stalls into the one room, but we managed it and allowed enough space for the public to get around.
"Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and some first time visitors have signed up as members of the collectors’ society”.
The fair will be returning to the same venue in 2018 on April 14.
