POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two robberies took place in a shop in the Broom Hill area of Bristol.

A man walked into McColls on From Valley Road and threatened a member of staff before stealing a quantity of money at around 7.20am on Sunday, 16 April.

He was wearing a large dark coat, loose fitting blue jeans and a hat.

The same store was then targeted again at around 6am on Monday, 24 April.

A man wearing a face covering entered the store and demanded money, before fleeing in the direction of Frenchay Park Road having stolen cash and scratch cards.

The man was wearing a blue hooded top, a white baseball cap, navy blue jogging bottoms which had white stripes down the sides and green gloves.

Crime scene investigators examined the store following both incidents while house to house enquiries have also been carried out.
