SOCIAL media sites are abound with rumours that Jack Lopresti MP is facing calls to be deselected ahead of the upcoming general election.
Mr Lopresti has served as the MP for the Filton and Bradley Stoke constituency since the seat was created in 2010.
It is now believed that Conservative members are being put under pressure to pull support for the politician.
Members of the Filton and Bradley Stoke constituency are understood to be attending a meeting tonight to vote on the matter.
Party members are reportedly being asked to vote against selecting Mr Lopresti.
People on social media site Twitter have responded strongly to the rumours.
Twitter user Susie Hewson tweeted: "Folks of Filton and Bradley Stoke waking up to fact that Tory Leave MP Jack Lopresti does next to nothing for us."
