A DRUG dealer from South Gloucestershire has been ordered to pay back more than £29,000 obtained through crime.

Mohammed Diallo, of Greenways in Kingswood, was found to have benefitted from selling class A drugs to the sum of £42,115 and was ordered to pay back £29,415 at a hearing held at Bristol Crown Court on Friday.

The charges against Diallo followed a search warrant carried out at his home on May 5, 2016.

A specialist dog unit was involved in the search and a large quantity of crack cocaine was found under a kitchen sink, while further quantities of class A drugs were found in a kitchen cupboard and a treasure chest in a bedroom.

A large amount of cash was also found within the living room and bedroom within the property and this has now been confiscated under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

At a previous court hearing, Diallo admitted charges of possessing crack cocaine, heroin and cocaine with intent to supply, as well as a charge of money laundering.

Avon and Somerset financial investigator Greg Brunt said: “We hope this sends out a strong message that crime does not pay and we will seek to recover money and assets acquired through criminal acts.”
