Night-time search by police helicopter and officers near A38 in Thornbury leads to arrest of two Leyhill absconders
A NIGHT-TIME search by police officers and an NPAS helicopter led to the successful arrest of two Leyhill absconders at the A38 Thornbury.
The arrests at 9.20pm came just an hour after reports at 8.30pm of two men absconding from HMP Leyhill.
Both men remain in police custody after a police helicopter supported officers on the ground to find the pair.
