Body found on public path outside Thornbury Castle formally identified as 37-year-old Thornbury man
A MAN who was found dead on a public path near Thornbury Castle last month has been formally identified as 37-year-old Oliver Blackham.
Mr Blackham, from Regent Close in Thornbury, was found on the footpath in the early hours of September 16 by a resident.
Police have said that their investigation found the death to be non-suspicious and handed the case over to Avon Coroners.
A post-mortem has been carried out and the inquest was officially opened on Wednesday, and adjourned pending further investigation.
