CHIPPING Sodbury bakers, the Herbert family, are set to appear as contestants on The Big Family Cooking Showdown on BBC2 this evening.
Three members of the family - who own the Hobbs House chain – hope to impress the judges with their home-cooking skills.
Anna Herbert (wife of Tom Herbert, one of the Fabulous Baker Brothers) and Archie and Charlie Herbert (Tom and Henry’s brothers) will all feature in tonight's show. They were knocked out in a previous episode, but after the team that beat them pulled out, they are back in.
Anna, Archie and Charlie will be cooking this evening (Thursday) at 8pm, in the first of the semi-finals. Judging their efforts will be top Michelin-starred chef Giorgio Locatelli and renowned cookery teacher Rosemary Schrager.
The show will see three families going head to head, with only one going through to the final.
The Big Family Cooking Showdown is presented by Zoe Ball and Nadiya Hussain. Sixteen multi-generational family teams have been battling it out for the chance to be crowned the nation's best family of home cooks.
