A MAN who was twice the legal limit will appear in court next week charged with drink driving, after police attended the scene of a crash near Tetbury.

Officers were called to the Kingscote area at about 11.20pm on November 11, where they found a 24-year-old man from Bristol in a crashed Peugeot 208.

He provided a positive roadside breath test and was taken to Gloucester Royal Hospital before being discharged.

He was then taken to Compass House police station where he gave a breath alcohol reading of 83 micrograms, more than twice the legal limit.

Police charged the man with drink driving the following morning and he will appear in court on November 27.
