NEW owners are being sought for a popular garden centre in Thornbury, after the Wyevale chain was put up for sale.

Wyevale, the country’s largest garden centre operator, has been put up for sale by investment group Terra Firma, with the owners considering both the sale of the group as a whole and selling off individual sites.

Wyevale currently runs Thornbury’s Milbury Heath-based centre.
The potential sale comes during a turnaround programme designed to make centres year-round destinations.

Property specialists Christie and Co, enlisted to explore sales options, said centres would be available from £200,000 to £35million, and would be attractive to existing garden centre operators, independent businesses and entrepreneurs.
