TWO developers of prospective new housing sites in Thornbury are set to address the town council next Tuesday.

Bloor Homes, who have proposed the ‘Land South of Gloucester Road’ development, and Barwood Land who have proposed the ‘Pickedmoor’ site, will present their schemes to Thornbury Town Council’s town development committee.

The town currently faces hundreds of proposed homes on its outskirts.

Members of the public are welcome to attend the meeting, which begins at 7.30pm.

The two sites are being proposed to adjoin other already under-construction sites, with the ‘Pickedmoor’ development behind the Park Farm estate potentially offering as many as 750 new homes as well as space for community facilities.

The 370-home Land South of Gloucester Road site meanwhile is being proposed for behind the Thornbury Fields development, adjacent to Crossways Lane.
