THORNBURY Residents Against Poorly Planned Development (TRAPP’D) have been campaigning for 20 months to instil a common sense, plan-led approach into the planning system, so we were delighted with Cllr Toby Savage’s statement last week which appears to be moving South Gloucestershire Council towards this view.
We have written an open letter to the Rt Hon James Brokenshire MP, Secretary of State for Housing and Local Government, asking him to review the current system which is biased in favour of speculative developers and does little to provide the necessary infrastructure to support growth in housing and population.

A copy can also be signed at the Town Hall, High Street or the Armstrong Hall, Chapel Street for residents without computer access.
This could be our last chance to influence the Government’s housing policy, please don’t miss this opportunity.
