POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was hit by a bus in Filton.

It happened outside Abbey Retail Park, in Station Road, at 6.30pm on Monday (February 4).

The pedestrian – a man believed to be in his late teens – was taken to Frenchay Hospital with serious head injuries. He is said to be in a critical but stable condition.

A police spokesman said: “The road was closed to allow a detailed examination of the scene. It was re-opened shortly before 11pm.

“We are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to contact us.

“Anyone able to help is asked to contact the collision investigation unit on the force number 101.”
