Chipping Sodbury Lions Club hold free jobs fair in town hall

CHIPPING Sodbury Lions Club is organising a free jobs fair to take place on Friday, February 22 (7-11.30am).

The event will offer a chance for local employers to chat informally with those attending over a free breakfast. Although open to ages, there is specific information about the latest government incentive schemes to encourage employers to invest in young recruits.

The jobs fair, which will be held at Chipping Sodbury Town Hall, is the first of its kind to be organised by the Lions and the club is looking for as much support as possible.

think this is bang out of order. when i seen this i thought great as i been looking and applying 4 jobs 4 ages so this was good idea UNTIL i seen between ages 18- 24 !! not be funny but what about the rest of us ? its much harder for older ppl to find works as they give it to younger ppl all the time.
Why cant i at 35 be given the same opportunites as i have plenty of experience to give to the right job. This is age discrimination

The Job Fair is open to anyone of any age, it's just that there government schemes available for the 18-24 age group and we thought it was a good idea to include information on these schemes.

The Job fair is funded entirely by your local Lions Club. Sodbury Lions are a group of individuals who give their time freely to help others and we hope that we can help you to find a job.
