A TOTAL of 18 people have now been arrested during a two-day operation targeting drugs supply and possession across Yate and Chipping Sodbury.
Avon and Somerset Police forced entry to homes and searched them for any evidence of class A and B drugs, including cocaine and cannabis with a series of misuse of drugs warrants.
Quantities of drugs, including what is believed to be cocaine, were seized along with cash, mobile phones and bank details as part of Operation Rebus.
The police action follows a lengthy intelligence-led investigation into drugs supply and possession in the Yate and Chipping Sodbury areas.
Det Inspector Dominic Graham, leading the investigation, said: “This has been a very successful operation that we believe will have a major effect on the availability of drugs in this part of South Gloucestershire.”
Anyone who is concerned about drugs use and anti-social behaviour associated with it should contact police on 101.
