SPEED networking was enjoyed by local businesses at Sodbury Town Hall.
Forty businesses attended the free event organised by Sodbury and Yate Business Association, with the aim to make new contacts and share information about the business word.
A masterclass on ‘how to network’ was given by guest speaker Kevin Brown before the speed networking was underway. People moved around tables, mimicking a speed dating activity, with five minutes to talk to the other business person about their trade and swap information.
Joint Chair of SYBA, Linda Banister said: “It was the first speed networking event SYBA have thrown, and I found it was a very successful and fun evening.
“SYBA hold many events and lots of social events over the course of the year to invite new members and encourage people to join, particularly for people starting a new business. It’s a helpful way to get learn more and get advice.”
SYBA welcomes new members and hopes to throw a speed networking event again next year.
