POLICE are appealing for information about a race hate incident in the car park at Lidl in Kennedy Way, Yate.
It happened at around noon on Thursday, November 27 but was only reported to police on Friday, December 19. A 48-year-old woman was walking towards the store when she was verbally abused by four white men in what’s described as an old blue car.
One man got out and followed the woman, taunting her in an offensive way. It only stopped when an elderly man with a stick intervened and the woman was able to get into the store.
Avon and Somerset police are asking for any witnesses to contact us, especially the elderly man called Frank who came to the woman’s aid. Anyone who can help should call 101 quoting reference number 132034/14.
