REPORTS of thefts and attempted thefts of motor vehicles in Frampton Cotterell are under investigation by the police.
Avon and Somerset Constabulary are investigating five reports in Park Avenue, Nightingale Close and Park Lane on Sunday, January 11.
Reports of two cases in Frampton End Road in the early afternoon of the same day are also under investigation.
The police have reported that there is evidence to suggest an attempted theft of one of the vehicles, and that they are not “ruling out the possibility that the reported crimes are linked.”
Neighbourhood beat manager, PC Finbar Simmons, said: “Our advice is for people to be vigilant and to take measures to minimise risk to their vehicles. Park in secure garages, remove valuables and, if you can’t, make sure none are left on view.”
The investigations are ongoing and anyone with any information or who sees anything suspicious is asked to call 101 quoting reference 03553/15.
