ROAD safety operations will take place across South Gloucestershire this week to reduce deaths and injuries on the road.
Avon and Somerset police officers will be carrying out mobile phone and seatbelt stop checks, as well as monitoring speeds on roads and in 20mph zones.
Cycle marking sessions are planned at the University of the West of England, as well as cycle track patrols with police offering crime prevention and safety advice for cyclists and pedestrians.
Sergeant Paul Wigginton said: “Improving safety on the roads for everyone is one of our priorities and this week of action is just part of our all-year round commitment to reducing deaths and injuries across the district.”
