RESIDENTS in South Gloucestershire are encouraged to have a say on local decision-making at area forum meetings over the next month.
The next round of area forum meetings are in late February/early March, where open sessions will be put on for members of the public to put questions to councillors and officers on any matter in their area.
Presentations will be given from Avon Fire and Rescue who are raising awareness of carbon monoxide poisoning, decisions on the allocation of community grants and New Homes Bonus (NHB) grants, and the consideration of Positive Activities Subsidy (PAS) fund applications.
Meetings will be held at the following dates and locations:
Kings Forest – Monday 23 February, 7pm, Council Chamber, Civic Centre, Kingswood
Severn Vale – Wednesday 4 March, 7pm, Turnberries Community Centre, Thornbury
Frome Vale – Thursday 5 March, 7pm, Shireway Community Centre, Yate
The Chase – Monday 9 March, 7pm, Council Chamber, Civic Centre, Kingswood
Southern Brooks – Tuesday 10 March, 7pm, Greenfield Centre, Winterbourne.
The forums will also be asked to identify local area highway maintenance priorities, selected from the Local Transport Maintenance Options list.
The next round of meetings will take place in July.
