YATE’S annual Easter Egg Extravaganza is set to return to the town next month.


Yate Town Council, in conjunction with The Friends of Kingsgate Park will be holding the 2015 Easter Egg Extravaganza in Kingsgate Park on Easter Monday, April 6.


The event, which will run from 10am to 12pm is open to all children aged under 12 years and entry is free to all.


Upon completing a treasure hunt a chocolate Easter egg will be presented to each child participating in the event, although there are a limited number of prizes available.


A separate area will be created for children aged five-years-old and under.


There will also be an Easter bonnet parade at 11am where the child with the best bonnet will win a prize.


Yate cllr John Ford said: "The Kingsgate Park Easter Egg Hunt, ever popular with parents and children returns for another year on Easter Monday.


"Staffed by volunteers from The Friends of Kingsgate Park and Yate Town Councillors, whatever the weather great fun is always had by participants and volunteers.


"It will hopefully be another successful day in Yate Town’s event calendar."


Yate Town Council and The Friends of Kingsgate are extending their thanks to all the local contributors who have made donations towards the event.
