AN APPEAL for witnesses after an attempted sexual assault in Bristol has been launched by the police.

The incident took place on Tuesday, April 7 at the bottom of Stoke Road, almost opposite Blackboy Hill, at 12.15pm.

A man approached two women and tried to engage them in conversation before attempting to kiss one of them and put his hands on her leg. He then ran away from the scene.

The suspect is described as a white male, of slim build, tall and in his late 20’s.

He had dark messy hair and spoke with a European accent. He was wearing a dark t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms.

The police are not connecting this incident to any other in the local area at this stage.
