THREE people have been arrested following two serious incidents in Bristol.

At approximately 11pm last night, a man was approached by two males on St Mark's Road, Easton.

Following an altercation, the two suspects left the scene in a silver car leaving the victim uninjured.

The police have closed St Mark's Road while their investigation continues and the road is likely to remain closed for a few hours.

Then, at approximately 2am this morning, the police were alerted to an incident at the Jolly Roger pub, on Hallows Road, Easton.

A man in his 40s was injured during the incident and is currently in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

As a result of robust police enquiries, a short while later a vehicle was stopped on the second slip road of the M32. The three people inside the vehicle were arrested in connection with both incidents.

A woman and two men remain in police custody at this time.
