THE police continue to appeal for witnesses following two firearms incidents in Bristol.

The first incident was an attempted robbery which took place on Friday, May 22 at approximately 11pm on St Mark’s Road, Easton.

The lone male victim was approached by two men and, following an altercation, the two suspects left the scene in a silver car.

The victim was uninjured.

St Mark’s Road was closed for several hours on Friday evening and yesterday morning while police enquiries continued.

The second incident took place at approximately 2am yesterday morning, when the police were alerted to an incident at the Jolly Roger pub, on Hallows Road, Easton.

A man in his 40s was injured during the incident and is currently in Southmead Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It is believed that the victim was shot twice during the incident.

As a result of robust police enquiries, a short while later a vehicle was stopped on the second slip road of the M32. The two men and one woman inside the vehicle were all arrested in connection with both incidents.

The men, aged 22 and 33 and the woman, aged 25, were all arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and firearms offences. All three currently remain in police custody.

The police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed either incident, or has any information regarding them, to contact us as a matter of urgency.

They also believe that some witnesses to the incident in the Jolly Roger pub may have filmed parts of the incident or taken photos on their mobile phones.

If you have any photographic evidence of the incident, you are asked to come forward and help assist the police with their enquiries.

Anyone with information regarding either incident should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can left anonymously.
