TWO men are due to face trial in January charged with killing 38-year-old Jason Betts in Yate.
Nixon Apire, 30, from Great North Road, Barnet, and Nathan Skeen, 28, of Ermine Road, Lewisham, London, were both charged with murder after Jason was found unconscious at his flat in Celestine Road on March 5.
He died later died at Southmead Hospital and a post-mortem examination concluded his cause of death was a head injury.
The Recorder of Bristol His Honour Judge Neil Ford QC pencilled in a four week trial before him with a starting date of January 25.
Apire and Skeen, who were arrested at a property in Chelmsford, Essex, are remanded in custody.
A 37-year-old man was initially arrested in connection with Mr Betts' death but was released on bail without charge.
