FIRE crews tackled a well-developed house fire in Bromley Heath.
A total of 12 firefighters were called to the incident in Rockland Road at just before 2pm on Saturday.
When crews arrived smoke and flames were coming from the first floor and roof of the property.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus used four 45mm jets and two high pressure hose reels to put the fire out.
The Aerial Rescue Pump (ARP) was also used to remove roof tiles and for damping down.
A man was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
It is thought the fire started accidentally in the bedroom.
