HISTORY-LOVERS are encouraged to join in with a day of archery and sword-fighting at Yate Heritage Centre.
Yate & District Archaeology Group will host the Medieval Archaeology Day on Saturday, July 4th at the centre and on St Mary's Green to mark Magna Carta and Agincourt.
Community officer David Hardill, said: “It should be a great day with demonstrations of archery, sword fighting, Viking life, medieval food, Tudor domestic life plus a archaeological dig on the green on the day.
“There will be entertainment with medieval storytelling and a performance of Tudor life by the Earl of Leicester. It is not to be missed.”
The event has been funded and supported By South Gloucestershire Council, Yate Town Council and Dodington Parish Council and is free entry to all.
