A MINUTE'S silence will be held in Yate today in memory of those who have lost their lives in the Tunisian beach attack.
The silence will start at 12pm in the centre of Yate Shopping Centre in memory of the victims.
Yate Town Councillor Wully Perks said: "I came up with idea to hold the silence in the centre, with the whole nation remembering those who have died.
"I encourage everyone to join in and remember."
Thirty-eight people lost their lives when a gunman opened fire on tourists staying in the popular resort of Port El Kantaoui, just north of Sousse in Tunisia, at around midday local time on Friday, June 26.
Thirty of those killed have been confirmed as British and were staying at the Hotel Rui Imperial Marhaba and neighbouring Hotel Rui Bellevue Park.
