POLICE are appealing for information following a road traffic collision which left a 14-year-old cyclist with serious injuries in Cheltenham.

The incident occurred at about 3.30 pm on Tuesday, June 30 on Alma Road, after he had cycled out of Loweswater Road onto Alma Road, and was then in collision with a Silver Ford Focus, being driven by a 32-year-old woman in the direction of Morrisons. 

The cyclist sustained a broken jaw and other injuries which are not regarded as life threatening.

He was taken to Bristol Children’s Hospital by air ambulance. 

Police are keen to trace any witnesses to the collision or anyone who helped at the scene.
