Dodington Parish Council clerk Wendy Mayo who has died after a short battle with cancer
TRIBUTES have been paid to Dodington Parish Council clerk Wendy Mayo.
The 53-year-old mother-of-two, who lived in Yate, died on August 6 after a short battle with non-Hodgkin lymphona.
Clerk to the council for eight years and formerly manager of Ridgewood Community Centre in Yate, Wendy was well known in the local area and was hugely respected by her colleagues.
Council chairman Cllr Christine Howard said: “It has left all councillors and everyone who came into contact with her in shock.
“This amazing lady was an integral part of the council and to each of us individually.”
