CHILDREN in Chipping Sodbury enjoyed a free fortnight of fun thanks to Sodbury Town Council.
The council put on a free play scheme for local primary school aged children offering them fun activities and free childcare for parents during the summer holidays.
The scheme took place in Chipping Sodbury Youth Centre, behind St John’s Mead Primary School, between August 3 and 14.
A council spokesman said: “Once again Sodbury Town Council held its two-week summer play scheme, this year at Chipping Sodbury Youth Centre.
“The scheme is funded by Sodbury Town Council and priority given to children who live in Chipping Sodbury and Old Sodbury.
“It always proves very popular for children of primary school age and this year the children performed a puppet show for the mayor Cllr Paddy Smith.”
