POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an attempted distraction burglary in Bristol.
It happened at around 6pm on Wednesday, August 26 when a man called at the home of an elderly woman on Verrier Road. He claimed he had been asked by the woman's son to carry out some painting work.
A police spokesman said: "The victim gave the man the code to the keysafe outside her home and the man entered the property with another male.
"Luckily, a friend of the victim arrived at the house and the two men left the property. Nothing was taken during the incident."
The first suspect is described as an older, white man with wavy dark hair.
The second suspect is described as being much younger, also white with medium length blond hair.
Avon and Somerset Constabulary has issued efits of the men. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 and quote crime reference number 94408/15.
