NEW caterers at Chipping Sodbury Town Hall are hoping to be the dish of the day with local businesses and community groups.
Wards won the in-house catering contract at the town hall and took over at the beginning of September.
Owner Dan Ward, who has 16 years experience as a chef including at the Bull at Hinton, said he hoped community groups and organisations would be tempted back to use the town hall as a venue for dinners and events and that businesses in the town would meet there for lunch.
“Things are changing and there is a great community here,” said Mr Ward, from Kingswood. “We want to get people back in here using the town hall again.
“There is so much potential and we are looking forward to building things up.”
Mr Ward and his team of five are already busy running the hall’s two bars during events and have catered for numerous weddings and functions. He said packages could be accommodated although as a chef he was happy to be more flexible.
The town hall is holding an open day on Friday, October 23.
