MORE than 40 firefighters are tackling a blaze at student accommodation in Bristol.
Two turntable ladders are being used to fight the fire in a block of student flats on Colston Street.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service said the fire, which broke out at 1pm today, has now been contained to the fifth floor and on the roof.
A spokesman said: "At this time it's thought that no one was inside and there are no reports of any injuries."
The service said its control room had received more than 50 calls.
It is believed the fire was caused accidentally when a pan was left on a hob.
