THE Queen has visited the Gazette area many times since being crowned in 1952.
To mark her 90th birthday former chief photographer at the Gazette David Ireland shared some of his favourite photos on her trips to the area over the past six decades.
Amongst her most notable appearances were visits to officially open the first Severn crossing in 1966 as well as several visits to Badminton Horse Trials and Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust.
