AMBITION was the word of the day on Friday (June 10) as Thornbury and Yate MP Luke Hall visited primary school children to discuss achieving your goals.
Mr Hall told Key Stage 2 pupils at North Road Community Primary School in Yate about the importance of holding high ambitions for themselves and their futures.
Head teacher Sarah Stillie said: “Ambition is the school value for this term and links closely to our other school values of positivity and perseverance.
“These are values that our children need in order to be successful and happy in life.
“It was brilliant today to have Luke Hall come to talk to the children about his job, how he reached his personal ambitions and his ambitions for the future.”
The pupils also enjoyed putting some of their own questions to Luke Hall and sharing some of their personal concerns about the community in which they live.
